Today, Glen Earrach Energy has submitted Additional Information to the project's Section 36 planning application.

This is part of our continued engagement with statutory consultees on the information included in the documents. Some consultees have requested further information for various queries, including:

  • Statement to Inform Habitats Regulations Assessment Updates

  • Water environment

  • Aquatic ecology

  • Ornithology

  • Rights of way

Importantly, the Additional Information does not change the conclusions of the assessment in the EIAR. This has been provided to assist consultees in their assessment of our Section 36 planning application, and we look forward to continuing to work alongside consultees as our application progresses.

The documents are now available to view on our website and physical versions be hosted at in-person venues across different communities. These are:

  • The Highland Council, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness IV3 5NX

  • Glenurquhart Community Library, Glenurquhart High School, Drumnadrochit IV63 6XA

  • Fort Augustus Village Hall, Fort Augustus PH32 4DG

  • Foyers Stores, Post Office and Cafe, Foyers, IV2 6XU

Any new representations on the application may be submitted by email to the Scottish Government via representations@gov.scot; or by post to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation.

Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations. Emailed representations should also include the full return email address of those making representations. Only representations sent by email to representations@gov.scot will receive acknowledgement.

All representations should be received not later than 14th October 2025, although Ministers may consider representations received after this date.
