Additional Information submitted - September 2026

Glen Earrach Energy has submitted a further package of Additional Information to the project’s Section 36 application.


The information has been provided as part of our continued engagement with the Scottish Government Energy Consents Unit and statutory consultees as they consider the application.


The latest documents include further information relating to:


  • Habitats Regulations Appraisal

  • Landscape and visual matters

  • Traffic and transport

  • Ecology and biodiversity

  • Grid connection

  • Peat landslide hazard and risk


The package also includes a consolidated Statement to Inform Habitats Regulations Appraisal for Urquhart Bay Wood SAC and Ness Woods SAC.


The documents are now available to view on the Planning Application section of our website.


Physical versions are hosted at in-person venues across different communities. These are:

•⁠ ⁠Glenurquhart Community Library, Glenurquhart High School, Drumnadrochit IV63 6XA 

•⁠ ⁠Fort Augustus Village Hall, Fort Augustus PH32 4DG

•⁠ ⁠Foyers Stores, Post Office and Cafe, Foyers, IV2 6XU 


Any new representations on the application may be submitted by email to the Scottish Government via representations@gov.scot; or by post to the Scottish Government, Energy Consents Unit, 4th Floor, 5 Atlantic Quay, 150 Broomielaw, Glasgow, G2 8LU, identifying the proposal and specifying the grounds for representation.


Written or emailed representations should be dated, clearly stating the name (in block capitals) and full postal address of those making representations. Emailed representations should also include the full return email address of those making representations. Only representations sent by email to representations@gov.scot will receive acknowledgement.


All representations should be received not later than 5th October 2026, although Ministers may consider representations received after this date.
