This month, Glen Earrach Energy submitted Additional Information to Scottish Ministers, which includes information relating to landscape and visual assessment, water resources, peatland management and corrections to the Environmental Impact Assessment Report (EIAR) and Planning Statement.Â

Since submitting a Section 36 planning application earlier this year, we have continued to engage with consultees on the information included in the documents. In response to this, consultees have requested additional information to help in their assessment of the application. We have also identified two corrections to the original EIAR, which we have included as Additional Information.
The structure of the Additional Information document is:Â
Chapter 1: Landscape and Visual;Â
Chapter 2: Water Resources; andÂ
Chapter 3: EIAR and Planning Statement CorrectionsÂ
Correction 1: EIAR - Upper Operating Water Level; andÂ
Correction 2: Planning Statement – percentage reference to net gain for area-based habitats.Â
Chapter 4: Peat Management.Â
The new documents can be accessed by visiting our Planning Application page (under ‘Additional Information’) or in-person at the following locations (during normal business hours):Â
Great Glen Pharmacy, Drumnadrochit, IV63 6ULÂ
Clog and Craft Shop, Skye Road, Invermoriston, IV63 7WEÂ
Foyers Stores,Post Office and Cafe, Foyers, IV2 6XUÂ
Glenurquhart Community Library, Glenurquhart High School, Drumnadrochit IV63 6XAÂ
Importantly, the Additional Information does not change the conclusions of the assessment in the EIAR. This has been provided to assist consultees in their assessment of our Section 36 planning application, and we look forward to continuing to work alongside consultees as our application progresses. Â
